Amy Best has been a faculty member at DeSales University since 2000 and Chair of the Theatre Department since 2018. As Resident Costume Designer for Act 1, she has designed over 75 productions, as well as numerous productions for the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF), where she especially enjoys designing children’s theatre. PSF favorites include The Princess and the Frog Prince, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Sleeping Beauty. Her recent work also includes the world premiere of Language of Sight. Her designs have also been seen in Illinois (including the Chicago premiere of Death Defying Acts), Texas, New Jersey, Kansas, and the United Kingdom on the tour of Standing in the Shadows.
