Eleanor Handley

Eleanor Handley (Titania & Hippolyta, Midsummer) It’s ten years since Eleanor first appeared at PSF, as Adriana (Comedy of Errors) and Emilia in the festival’s first ever Extreme Shakespeare production (The Two Noble Kinsmen). Over the seasons she has appeared as Maggie (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Beatrice (Much Ado About Nothing), Kate (The Taming of the Shrew), Elvira (Blithe Spirit), Witch (Macbeth), Diana (Lend Me a Tenor), Olivia (Twelfth Night), Agrippa (Antony & Cleopatra) and Amanda (Private Lives). She spent several summers under the tent at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, including Maria (Twelfth Night), Cressida (Troilus and Cressida), Milady (The Three Musketeers) and Regan (King Lear). Other regional productions include Lost in Yonkers (Barrymore nomination), Witness for the Prosecution (Barrymore Nomination)  and Time Stands Still (all at Bristol Riverside Theater), Betrayal (Nantucket Theater Workshop), The Source (NJ Rep). In NYC: Jericho (59E59), Limonade tous les jours (Cell Theater) and Tom Stoppard’s The Hard Problem (Lincoln Center). TV: Unforgettable, Royal Pains, As the World Turns and Twelfth Night. She is a founding artistic board member of New Normal Rep (www.newnormalrep.org), an online streaming company, born during the pandemic out of the need to keep drawing communities together through the power of sharing stories. She is thrilled to be able to come home to the festival this summer, and to mark the occasion of PSF’s 30th anniversary with such an overdue reunion.
