Liz Filios

Liz Filios (The Muse, Iliad, Composer/Sound Designer, Iliad) is a Philadelphia-based actor, composer and teaching artist. Favorite roles include Cunégonde in Candide (The Arden Theatre), Rosalind in As You Like It (Lantern Theatre), Helena in Midsummer: A Play With Songs (Inis Nua), Portia in The Merchant of Venice (Delaware Shakespeare), Ophelia in Hamlet (Revolution Shakespeare), and Cinderella in Into The Woods (Theatre Horizon). Liz has composed/music directed The Tempest (South Coast Repertory/Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), The Winter’s Tale (Folger Shakespeare), The Ice Princess, Shakespeare In Love, Hamlet (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival), The Matchmaker (People’s Light), and An Iliad, where she played the Muse opposite Peter DeLaurier in 2016 (Lantern Theater – Barrymore Nominee for Outstanding Sound Design/Original Music). She holds a BFA from the University of Michigan.
