Sunday July 26th at 7:30pm | ONE NIGHT ONLY
Chip and Gus, oddball acquaintances, meet once a month in the grungy back room
of an upstate New York sports bar, to do the one thing they love…play ping pong.
But this night is different…this night there is something else in the room.
John Ahlin’s Gus, a socially inept genius professor, and Christopher Patrick
Mullen’s Chip, a goofy, struggling music composer, are on a collision
course…only they don’t know it. They discover their lives intertwine in ways they
couldn’t possibly have known, as their chemistry explodes in several hilarious and
heart-breaking revelations.
Chip and Gus, a comedy with balls, is a spectacular human symphony, balancing a
furiously fast pace, a delicately slow reveal, and blisteringly brilliant comedy, for a
gripping, hilarious, unforgettable evening of theatre.
This award-winning play has the critics raving: “A play that comes at you like a
sharp volley and overwhelms you with wit, charm, and most of all heart” “A
hysterical and touching play.” “A fabulous performance!” and “One of the most
impressive things I’ve ever seen!” And Chip and Gus, winner of a Best Overall
Award at the New York Fringe, is on its way to the world-renowned Edinburgh
Fringe Festival in the summer of 2026.
